Launch Party #3
We held the third launch at the Mission Cultural Center on Mission st in San Francisco. This launch was the most professionally developed by the team since we had more fundraising opportunities and our first art/clothing vendor. This launch also had the largest Quilt Team so far and we are so excited to continue these partnerships with all the new artists who have joined our community since the last event. Our team had so much fun at the launch with the photobooth, DJ ms.bendecida, and the raffle prizes that our team made for the audience. Launch Party #2
The second launch was all about Love! The Love Edition was launched on June 4th, 2022 and it was a theme that our team felt was necessary being that we were coming out of the pandemic and people were starting to go back to social activities. We asked for submissions and recommended work with a love theme so that we could share a collective piece of work that showed the different views of love that we all bring to the world. This launch felt very professional compared to the first as our team has grown with the organization and we started to feel solidified in our place as an arts non-profit and our excitement and confidence transformed very well into our launch party.
Launch Party #1
Our very first launch was August 7th, 2021. Our team started out tiny and mighty and we never intended to continue the magazine when we came together for the first launch. At the time we were just young and ambitious and felt that the artists in our communities truly deserved more recognition. We each helped with every part of the social media advertising, fundraising, event planning and layouts to make it happen for our team and the artists who were featured as part of the first issue. The first launch was the start to a whole community movement and we are so grateful for everyone, especially those who have stuck with us since the first launch party in 2021.
